I’ve missed the cut off to enrol my child for the term, can I enrol them anytime during the term? Yes of course you can. We accept enrolments throughout the term.

Is the uniform a requirement for my child to attend Taekwondo Manawatu? Yes, but not right away. The uniform, although mandatory to train, can be purchased after the first few weeks without a problem.

Where are you located? We are located at the Whakarongo Community Hall, on the corner of Napier Rd and Stoney Creek Rd in Palmerston North, right beside Whakarongo School. Check out our contact page, it has a map showing how to find us.

What time should my child arrive for their class? We like to set good standards at Taekwondo Manawatu. They’ll need to be ready to go when their class starts - so allow 10 minutes beforehand.

How do drop offs and pick ups for children work at Taekwondo Manawatu? Child safety is important to us at Taekwondo Manawatu, so we ask that you drop your child into the class and pick them up from inside the class as well . Children must have an adult present to leave the class. Parents/guardians - please feel free to have a seat at the back of the hall and watch the class.

What should I bring to my class? Bring your uniform and belt, a mouth guard, any protective guards, a drink bottle, something warm to put on after class and a great attitude!

Can I stay and watch my child’s class? Yes, of course you can stay and watch. We’ll have a designated area at the back of the hall for you to sit and watch the session.

What can I expect at my (or my child’s) first class? We will welcome you on arrival, and our instructors will take it from there. Remember, as a new student, you will be supported to complete exercises and tasks at your own pace and ability. There’s lots of time to improve.

Can I make weekly or monthly instalments for my membership fees?
We want to make things easy for you. Send us a message on our contact us page or at the class and we can have a chat about what works best for your situation.

How will my child’s progress be measured? We have grading tests at least three times a year to progress students through the belt grading system.
